Connect the BlackBerry device to your computer. Write it down, as it is needed for Activation later. Start the software PhoneBAK BB program. If for BlackBerry Storm 1. Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications. 2. Select PhoneBAK and hit the menu (BB) key. 3. Select "Disable compatibility mode". 4. Repeat the steps for both Stealth and BAK2u service. Registration Go to http://www.bak2u.com/activate.php to register the software. Important! Under ‘Operating System’ select ‘BlackBerry’ Password Enter a new password and confirm it by clicking ‘Save’. Security Settings Go to Options > Security Options > Application > Permissions > PhoneBAK Select Menu option Edit Permissions, set the following: Connections:    Allow Interactions:     Allow User Data:       Allow Add New SIM Card(s) To authorize a new SIM card: Uncheck "Enable PhoneBAK" option. 1. Uncheck “Enable PhoneBAK” option. 2. Add a new SIM card. 3. Login to PhoneBAK and navigate to “Authorize SIM”. 4. IMSI number of the new SIM card will appear on the screen. 5. Add the IMSI into the list of authorized SIM list. 6. After adding SIM cards, enable PhoneBAK by checking “Enable PhoneBAK”option. Predefined Phone Numbers 1. Navigate to “Configure SMS” screen. 2. Enter the phone number of a spouse or friend so that PhoneBAK can send alert SMS. 3. Click menu and select “Add to List”. 4. To send a test SMS, click menu option and click “Test SMS”. 5. Unlimited number of phone numbers can be added. Email Address 1. Navigate to “Configure Email” screen. 2. Enter the email address of a spouse or friend so that PhoneBAK can send alert Email. 3. Click menu and select “Add to List”. 4. To send a test email, click menu option and click “Test Email”. 5. Unlimited number of emails can be added. Alert Customize your message to alert your spouse, colleague or I.T. department personnel. Repetitive alerts can also be sent to an unlimited number of pre-defined mobile phone numbers according to the number of times you’d like the message sent and number of minutes to wait between alerts! Example: Repeat the alert 5 times at an interval of 3 minutes. Remote Data Wipeout Users can remotely wipe out confidential information in the phone. To wipe out data, send a text SMS with the format "phonebak+wipe+PASSWORD" where PASSWORD is replaced by the user's password stored in PhoneBAK program.
