GadgetTrak for Windows PCs helps protect your system from theft by utilizing powerful tracking technology to locate the precise location of your PC in the event it is stolen.
Whenever your PC is moved to a new location, GadgetTrak detects this and sends information directly to you including IP address, internal network address, host names as well as location and ISP data.
How it works?
GadgetTrak for Windows PC, is a location tracking program that resides on your computer. When the system is moved to a new location it sends you the new location and network information via email. GadgetTrak for Windows PC provides accurate tracking results including the laptop public and private IP addresses, as well as host names. By providing the information to law enforcement the tracking results enable identification of the thief name, phone number and address.
GadgetTrak for Windows PC determines the location of the laptop by analyzing its network configuration information, including the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and hostname. This technology provides an accurate, pinpoint location anywhere in the world, and the results are sent to you automatically, with no active monitoring whatsoever, to protect your privacy.

Traditional location tracking solutions track each movement of a system from a monitoring center, raising serious privacy concerns. GadgetTrak utilizes privacy-safe location tracking technology that does not rely on a monitoring center and protects your privacy.
It is our firm belief that no monitoring center should be allowed to access a computer system, alter data on the system, or install software such as key loggers, so we removed the "middle-man" altogether. All of the information that GadgetTrak gathers is sent directly to you.
If your system is stolen and a connection is made you then provide the information to the authorities with our contact details and can work with them to get the system back.
Tamper Proof & Persistent
Our software utilizes various tactics to evade detection by a thief. All communication is done silently in the background with no indication that the software is sending information. It is impossible to remove the software without an administrative password and the application files are hidden on the system from view. GadgetTrak for Windows PC is also designed to work in "hostile" network environments, even where internet connectivity is poor it will be able to send information worldwide.
GadgetTrak utilizes advanced security measures to prevent removal of the software by unauthorized individuals. Removal of the hard drive will not remove the software. The software is hidden from view and requires the original installer and admin authentication to remove.

a. Can anyone tell if GadgetTrak for Windows PC is protecting my computer? Other people won't be able to tell whether GadgetTrak for Windows PC is running on your computer unless you choose to tell them. There are no icons, files, directories, sounds, or anything else that would be visible on your computer.
b. What if the stolen laptop's hard drive is reformatted? When GadgetTrak for Windows PC is properly installed, unauthorized individuals can neither uninstall the software nor reformat the hard drive These actions require the original installation program and the authorization code. To view the install/uninstall instructions, run Setup and click Help.
c. Are there any technical or local support? BAK2u has presence in Singapore and various countries through our partners to provide the necessary supports, including documents for owners to report to police for non-recoverable cases too.
d. Can GadgetTrak locate a stolen laptop that doesn't have the software installed? No. GadgetTrak for Windows PC must be installed in a laptop in order to locate the laptop.
e. Who will recover the lost device? As the device has been pre-defined with a email address, the receiver of the alert can contact the authorities (police, service provider) directly.
f. How will GadgetTrak for Windows PC affect my computer? GadgetTrak won't affect your computer. You won't notice any difference after installing the program, as it has a small footprint and utilizes minimal system resources. Your computer will run just as it had prior to the installation. However, in terms of protection, you will have the peace of mind of knowing that your computer is fully protected by Trace's laptop location tracking feature.
g. What if my stolen computer is turned off? As soon as the laptop is turned on, the laptop location tracking feature will resume.
